About
Mrs. O’Leary got a bad rap, but people still blamed her cow for the Great Chicago Fire, which started on 8 October 1871. The Peshtigo fire in Wisconsin happened the same day and killed far more people, but is comparatively little known. Multiple other wildfires burned around the same time in parts of the region, mostly blamed on dry conditions and other atmospheric circumstances.
This week R/R will explore Fire(!). The spark inside, the thing between two people after the spark, the deadly thing that destroys all, the thing that renews, the place my body will likely go after death (unless composting can become reasonable).
